Completed Restoration Projects

The Texas Fire Museum performs apparatus restoration services and is dedicated to performing high-quality restorations of historic firefighting apparatus.

We offer turn-key, frame-up restorations, as profiled in this section of our website.  We also perform partial restorations including: pump repair, body work, engine work, drive-train repair, electrical systems, braking systems, hydraulic repair, painting, gold leafing, and upholstery restoration.

Recently, funeral and parade coach conversions have become a popular option in addition to traditional restoration services. Refer to the link below for completed restoration pictures of Richardson Fire Department's 1983 American LaFrance Century Series featuring this option.

At the Texas Fire Museum, we pride ourselves on our ability to reproduce and fabricate rare or obsolete parts, including Babbit bearings for vintage engines.  In January, 2010, we added the reproduction vintage American LaFrance seat frames to our list of services (click here for more information). We have the experience and means necessary to complete restoration projects of any caliber.
