James Lee Clay

CLAY, James Lee James Lee Clay, 90, of Duncanville TX was called home on Aug. 11, 2017 surrounded by friends and family. He is preceded by his loving wife of 66 years, Ann Clay, and their son, David. Born in Winnsboro ,TX on July 14th 1927, James was a faithful servant to the Lord, a member of Gospel Lighthouse, and a proud WWII veteran. James spent 20 years serving the community as a Dallas firefighter and another 20 years helping curate and operate the Dallas Firefighters Museum. James James Lee Clayenjoyed his last year and a half in Austin with his immediate family where he continued to make new friends . He leaves his rich memories to be cherished by his devoted daughter Donna Goode, her husband Ed Walls, his loving granddaughters, Tracie and Courtney Goode, his great grandchildren, Grace Schriever and Thomas Moore. James was loved by everyone who knew him and he touched countless lives. He was a giant among men, and will be missed. Condolences may be left in James' online guestbook at www.jeterandson.com. Visitation will be held Tues., Aug. 15th at 11am with a service to follow at 12pm, both will be held at Jeter & Son Funeral Home.
